Acetylene is a highly flammable & colourless gas which contains of carbon and hydrogen. This gas produces a very hot flame (over 300°C or 540°F) when combined with oxygen so it is used in welding, cutting, heat treating and the manufacture of chemicals. Acetylene can be liquefied and solidified with relative ease.
